This is one of the most famous gazebos or pavilions in Australia.  On 1 January 1901 Lord Hopetoun signed the documents that established the Commonwealth of Australia in this pavilion.  The pavilion was moved to Cabarita Park in Sydney and Sir Kenneth Street, Lt-Governor of NSW was present at the 50th anniversary of the first Federal Parliament Meeting held in Melbourne in 1901.  This photo was taken at that anniversary in 1951.
